Does anyone have experience interfacing a hard disk to the mac?  I saw
a Shugart 5 Mbyte hard disk --ST506 compatible for the incredible price
of $159 in priority 1 electronics mailer.  I know it sounds too good to
be true but I have no experience with this drive.  Does the Mac have an
internal controller board for the external drive or would I have to
design that myself?  Can anyone tell me the interface spec.?  If this
works and I do buy it I'll post to the net but don't expect me to do it
right away.
