The upgrade set me back only $275. I have the System and the Finder and Macwrite in RamDisk, and it is superfast. I took the Mac apart and looked at the board, and the work looks extremely good. It passed the memory test and the Mactest program. The job was done by a local Boulder electronics wizard named Marty Haase. He is willing to do the same for anyone who wants it done. If you have been wanting a Fat Mac upgrade but found the price too high, now's your chance. Marty can be contacted at (303) 444-7733. As usual, I have no personal or financial ties with Marty, I met him yesterday for the first time. My only interest in this is good quality work done for a reasonable price. -- Michael Ward, NCAR/SCD UUCP: {hplabs,nbires,brl-bmd,seismo,menlo70,stcvax}!hao!ward ARPA: hplabs!hao!ward@Berkeley BELL: 303-497-1252 USPS: POB 3000, Boulder, CO 80307
