Just leave the original author's name with the sources. When I got my copy from Jon, he specifically said "public domain but don't sell". Jon no longer supports jove - I tried to push back bug fixes and enhancements on him and he said he had changed jobs and didn't have time to support jove anymore. There has been numerous enhancements and bug fixes. The version I got was for 4.1, which I have updated for 4.2BSD. I believe this is the latest version he worked on, and I have added stuff to it since then. A version runs on VENIX, and I'm working to get it up on IBM XT/IX. I know Jon had it running on the BBN C-machine and their VAX. I use it here on the VAXes (4.2, 4.1) and Suns (4.2). Would the person at SIL and the person who got it running for MS-DOS want to merge sources?
