Well, I certainly wouldn't break it off if you (and the other person), are truly interested in continuing the relationship, (independent of whether its convenient or not). Personally, I've been writing to a girl in India for over a year now, and will meet her for the first time this June, when we decide whether we should get engaged, (I hope so). Although I've never met her, (or even spoken to her on the phone, she doesn't have one!), I feel I've gotten to know her through our letters better than anyone I've ever met here. Being 'only' five hundred miles away (as opposed to ten thousand!), should make things much easier. I assume you talk on the phone a lot, write letters, etc. Why don't you try doing something unusual, (like just show up for a weekend and surprise him, etc.). My favorite Indian girl sent me a birthday card she made by hand last year, I liked that more than anything else anyone gave me that day! Just trying to be helpful -JCP-
