No, I'm not kidding - from past experience I find that I need about a quarter of my time to myself, by myself, alone. I use this time as my prime hacking time, getting work done at a much faster pace than I do when there is anyone around to distract me. I also tend to use this time alone to sort out what's been happening to me and to try to resolve the problems that they day has brung. When I don't get my time to myself I build up a lot of anger and frustration and I tend to aim it at the very person who is keeping me from my time alone - it usually tends to be quite unpleasant for all involved. Does anyone else out there need significant amounts of time alone in order to maintain your sanity? andy beals arpa: bandy@{lll-crg,mit-mc} uucp: {mit-eddie,sun!lll-crg,dartvax!bedford}!bandy
