It probably has to do with the game in Chicago
when Smith broke Curt Frazier's (left-winger for the Hawks)
cheekbone, putting him out 4-6 weeks.  Smith hit Frazier
with the top of his stick and later claimed that he was
justified in doing so since he had to clear the crease.
I can guarantee you Smith is going to catch hell when he
comes back to Chicago again.
