Someone mentioned that Jan Smithers reminded them of Kotter's wife in
"Welcome Back, Kotter" in the posting of the results of the Pam (sic)
vs. Loni poll.  The woman who played Kotter's wife was Marcia Strausman
who also often played Hawkeye's lust-interest in M*A*S*H in the earlier
seasons.  I guess she disappeared about the time Kotter hit the air (?).
