Carolina at Chapel Hill Lines: 26 Earlier it was mentioned that a New Jersey station made various claims as being the first station in the US to show the first Pertwee episodes (those B&W ones, you know). Well, being a fan of WUNC at Chapel Hill I would like to mention that they don't often make claims, but they do produce*. I have already finished watching Pertwee half naked in the shower and contorting his new face into new dimensions. WUNC has shown between 2 and 4 different sets of episodes per week (the maximum in the recent past was a daily (weekday) 5:30, a daily 11:30pm, a weekly movie length Saturday afternoon and a weekly 1 hour Sunday night). They are currently part way through Inferno, which most people have seen (it's available in color), and hopefully will continue on with seldom seen Pertwee's for awhile. I think other cities started showing these around the new year also as I have seen a fair amount of conversation in this group mentioning hings from the early Pertwee episodes. *: one of the reasons that they produce is that we pay 'em (i.e. donations specified to go to Dr Who come fund raising time); additionally this is a college town and there is a larger than usual demand for Dr Who. So if your station hasn't shown them yet, give them a call, and then maybe give them some money. Brad Hemminger ...!decvax!mcnc!unc!bmh
