Since I read the message about scratches being found on disks, I have examined mine also and found some on my most frequently used disks (and I've only had my mac for a month). I asked the members of the local ACGNJ Mac user group how often they cleaned their disk drives and NO one out of about 30 people had ever cleaned a drive! I was amazed. The Macworld article recommended about once a month, the manufacture of the disk cleaner I am buying recommends about twice a month, etc... Some people have even suggested that cleaning was detrimental to the heads and warned against ever doing it. What do YOU think? I would appreciate any comments and especially reliable information obtained from manufacturer. Send to me, and I will summarize to the net. Thanks, John. -------
