Second, the rate of pregnancies is *NOT* up compared to, say, the late 19th century. The rate of pregnancies is up compared to five years ago, which simply reflects the baby boomers' having children. As they are the dominant demographic group, their pregancy rate distorts that of the country as a whole. The US pregnancy rate is, on the contrary, DOWN from a century ago. None of this will make any difference to Andrews, however, who spouts some unchecked "facts" to support something that he deems above discussion. Marcel Simon
