After seeing the topic repeatedly raised for quite a few months, I finally
decided to go on and create net.music.synth, a newsgroup for the discussion
of synthesizers.  Appropriate to this newsgroup will be not only MIDI,
lyricons, etc., but computer music techniques as well.  Note that we're
talking about  m a k i n g  music here; reviews of albums or concerts of
electronic music should probably go in other net.music groups.
