I just happened to buy the DC-Universe beastie (you know the equivalent of their encyclopedia), and was shocked and dismayed to see *what* they had done to Black Canary. That costume is the PITS! I can't believe the hair, either. I rather liked the old costume (all right, so it was from the late forties, and it was her mother's costume, and it came from Earth-2)...It may have had its bad points (those fish-net hose are hard to find these days), but at least she didn't look like a escapee from an Aerobicize class. I also noticed that the writers that be are being rather vague about whether most of the characters will be seen in the future or not (far future, as in at least one year down the road, or something of permanence). Well, at least it isn't as bad as the Marvel version..... -- Laurie Sefton {harpo,ihnp4,allegra,decvax}!pur-ee!pucc-h!afo Some people prefer top down programming; others prefer bottom-up: Me?
