This is a myth.  He intended to kill all four of the punks.  He shot two of
them in the back as they were running away.

This does *not* mean that I have sympathy for the four boys.  I agree that
their injuries signify no great loss to society.  However, Goetz's actions
mean that people will be more likely to negotiate with a gun in the future,
and this IS a great loss to society.
