Someone might (probably will!) correct me if needed but isn't CBS News an
independent entity from CBS the broadcasting boys? I seem to recall that 
the people running CBS News were worried about being restrained from above
and the news department was set up so that the people running CBS couldn't
censor the news. 

If this is the case then Jesse is up that old familiar tributary with no
method of locomotion. 

Also CBS News reported that a controlling interest in CBS stock would cost
in the neighborhood of one billion dollars. (rather a lot really)

so much for Jesse's pipe dreams.
