In your eagerness to speak, you are suffering the common problem known as "chafing at the bite". I'm sure the change you've noted recently can be attributed to this phenomenon. I'm sure that when you first started using Bike jock straps you wore them in the canonical "support" position, where chafing is rarely a problem.
