I think it was in the Wall Street Journal. > There are two things I remember about SDG&E (I lived in Southern California for the first 26 years of my life): 1) Remember conservation? SDG&E asked the people of San Diego County to conserve energy. Since San Diegans are such good citizens, they conserved. The following year, SDG&E had to raise the rates because San Diegans didn't use enough energy! 2) Some brilliant SDG&E employee over-purchased on oil and SDG&E had to pay for it somehow. Guess how? I'm sure these are not the only wonderful things they've accomplished. My experience: I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in San Diego. Without using a heater or air conditioner at all, my monthly bill usually was >$50. Come on guys, I don't cook or watch tv that much. I now live in a 2 bedroom apartment in the San Francisco Bay area (Walnut Creek). Last month, BLASTING the heater constantly, my bill was $35. Yes, SDG&E must be the one of the worst run companies in the country. Ken Olsen {ihnp4,ucbvax,cbosgd,decwrl,amd70,fortune,zehntel}!dual!ptsfa!kmo
