I also grew up in the Church of the Nazarene, and I remember a brochure that I saw which was (I believe) printed by the Nazarene Publishing House. It told about the horrors of masturbation (a recent topic of interest on the net) and how to prevent your children from masturbating. Some of its recommendations were: - never let your child have any time to himself - don't let him get enough sleep, so he will fall asleep immediately On the other hand, one must keep in mind that some churches, and the Church of the Nazarene in particular, have very little in the way of central control and you can hardly denounce the whole religion on the basis of things like this. In travelling, I have seen Nazarene churches which seemed almost like Southern Babtists to some like Methodists to some churches which were down-right Charismatic. The central church's authority is very small, and the individual churches vary a lot based on the area and congregation. The fact that the congregations choose thier own pastor probably re-inforces this. But I digress. My thanks to Scott for some very good thoughts. Alien
