Funny, one of the lines in my .profile for years has been
chmod 600 $MAIL.  Since root gets to write it anyhow,
it doesn't bite anyone but the snoops.  I DO find that every once
in a while the test right before that shows me that go+r has been
set.  Since there are a lot of system hackers around here, 
I can't say I'm amazed.
