Chicago: Astronomy & Astrophysics Lines: 19 Just a few comments on the game "Midway" which was distributed in net.sources last week. On the whole, it is enjoyable, but there are a few changes I wouldn't mind seeing. First, islands don't sink, and I wish there were another way to indicate whether Midway was captured. It should be possible to recapture it if the Japanese force holding it is weak enough, or at least to bomb the island if the Japanese hold it. Second, when I die, I always wonder what happened. Isn't it possible to have the game finish? (Was all that sacrifice in vain or not?) On those rare occasions when I'm playing the American side, and plaster the Japanese, I always wonder whether there are any more out there. Isn't it possible to have the game tell you in some way if there are any more enemy left? -- Paul Schinder Astronomy and Astrophysics Center University of Chicago uucp: ..!ihnp4!oddjob!paul
