ps -- I think you just found a neat bug. Obviously the shop-keepers were
so impressed by the ideological arguments that you gave them in trying to
pay them gold for your gold that they did a philosophical about-face from
altruism to egoism. Unfortunately, they didn't adopt rationality along the
way so that when you returned they irrationally decided to kill you rather
than thank you for explaining market principles to them...
