Maybe it's time to start pushing the ARRL to do something about the various local laws which try to restrict radio reception. As I understand it, all it would take is for the Feds to officially claim pre-emption in this area. Is there a lawyer in the house who could comment on this? >From earlier conversations I have had with FCC personnel, it is the FCC's 'feeling' that the burden of privacy rests with the sender of information -- they should scramble if they don't want it overheard.
