But I don't like the holier-than-thou attitude in Jan Wolitzky's recent mail. I haven't seen ANY scientific studies that say spanking turns kids into axe-murderers. Equating spanking with the violence problems of the world is a little like telling people who want to get an abortion that they are no better than Nazis. Growing kids up right is not yet a science.
