In my review of "Maria's Lovers", I stated that Andrei Konchalovsky had
defected from the USSR.  This is incorrect.  Konchalovsky is still a 
Soviet citizen and has given no indication of an intention to defect.

A correspondent who emigrated from the USSR several years ago tells me
that about one American film per month plays in major Soviet cities.
This is a few more than I expected, but still such a slight quantity
that American films have a negligible influence on young Soviet moviegoers.
