Many of you may have been among the people who actually saw the data being pulled off WTBS while "The Flintstones," "Leave It To Beaver," and other programs were running. Thanks to all who attended! Discussions are now beginning to try figure out what the next step in the experiment can and should be. There are technical issues, discussions about user authentication and liabilities, ultimate goals for the experiment and/or a service, and many other issues. One interesting point is that there seems to be agreement in many quarters that legal liability for a broadcast or published service isn't necessarily bad if it is required to provide a useful service, but that it must be recognized and understood beforehand by whatever organizations would be operating such a service. Most any organization that prints and distributes a newsletter is accepting legal liability for the contents. The issues with stargate are similar, just on a different scale and with different technology. We have really only begun, and the experiment has a long way to go. But the results are looking quite good so far. Thanks again. --Lauren--
