Then come the planes,
shredding flesh and laughing,
riven faces turn sightless eyes to mud,
unknown to light.

You cry, dream sludge drowning screams
which never rise in nightmare
but slide down throat,
fear bring bile to tongue.

With waking comes          
war with heavy eyelids
as eyes open,
close.
Open.
CLOSE.

Sleepgnomes come with poisoned fingers,
drag you back to nightmare
a demented puppet gibbering
till morning comes.
