I bought a S&W 57 specifically for metallic silhouette competition, and just about threw the S.O.B. away 3 months later. Tried jacketed, tried lead, tried a broad range of powders. Up to 100 meters, it was deadly; beyond 100 meters.... well .... I couldn't throw it that far anyway. Went to a D.W. .357 and use 200 grn rifle bullets with moderate success... I now can hit what I aim at, although sometimes they refuse to fall. Am most curious to know how other users of the .41 like it. I came away thinking the .41 was the dog.... maybe the S&W was the dog. What say?
