This consists of a fiberboard base with parallel rule, and a plastic cutter body with replacable blade. With moderate (1/2 hour serious work) practice, I find this works nearly as well as the fancy sysems, and the price is right. To make it even neater, and easier, you can use the Logan mat cutter (which is the best cutter I know of) with it. You have to work out some offsets so that the cuts come where you want them, and so you can mark where to stop cuts correctly, but it's worth the effort. -- David Dyer-Bennet -- ...decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-mrvax!ddb
