I have a mat cutter called an EZ/MAT by Alto, which is a cutter (similar in function to a Logan, if not in design) and a set of guide rails that are adjustable in 1/8" increments (from 2" up to about 6"). The cutter is not attached to the rails, so a little care is needed. I have been using it for almost a year, with results as good as (sometimes better than) I used to pay a frame shop for. It comes with good instructions, and only took me about ten or twenty minutes to learn to use. The best news is that it is (or was) less than $60. I got it from Light Impressions, but I have seen it advertised in other places (sorry, I don't remember where). It works very well. Steve Stepoway smu!stepoway
