I have mixed opinions about splitting up net.singles into
net.singles and net.singles.christian.    On one hand, it would
be of great benefit if those who wished to discuss religion
had their place, where they need not fear being flamed by
those who feel that they must ridicule other's beliefs.
On the other hand, I don't want to create a newsgropu just to
get Jeff out of net.singles.  It's been my experience that SOME
Christians have a lot to learn from others <and vice versa>, and
it seems to me that segmenting the newsgroups would cut off
some of this discussion.

I would suggest that Jeff S haters create their own group, but net.flame
is QUITE alive and well, thank you.     


On the matter of Jeff S:

	I've sent mail to a number of people on the subject, even though
I've remained silent on the net.  (I have tried to send mail to
jeff, but something out there keeps throwing it back at me.)

My feeling is that Jeff has indeed become too dependant on the
net for support, and  that he does indeed use the "yes---> but"
technique, HOWEVER that is NO BLOODY steeeenking excuse for the
deliberate and considered abuse that has been sent his way.

I'd like to see net.singles back where it was a year or so ago,
when it supported people, gave them kicks when they needed it,
and in general was nice to read and write to.

The current brouhaha is quite annoying, as well as offensive
and uninteresting.   I'm about to unsubscribe, if the positive
content doesn't rise to some perceptable fraction of the negative
and/or nihilistic content. <Yeah, I know, technically I really
am a questionable single anyhow, but...>


Please, folks, PLEASE.  Let's all try to be polite and nice.

Jeff.  Please consider that you DO use the net as a sounding block
for your own internal fears/etc.  From time to time, you will 
either offend people, or prod someone who feels that they HAVE to
let you know that they're better, and then we'll have this sort
of noise again.  I'm NOT suggesting that you not post, but I 
DO wish that you would consider the advice that others give you,
and take some confidence from their success!
