Here's my list of places that I found particularly fun: Buffalo, N.Y.: The Continental - Live bands downstairs on weekend nites, DJ new wave/punk dancing upstairs. Outrageous costumes usually worn by the Canadians. Place opens at 10PM don't bother going until after 11:30. Band starts at midnight. Bands vary in quality, from awful to great, punk to techo-pop. Stays open until 4AM, real hackers hours, alcohol served 'til 4AM, Erie Co's official closing time. Let me note the dancing there does not require partners as most places seem to need, people crowd together as one mass if required. Toronto, Ont: Dominoes - DJ new wave/punk. Good costumes, lots of fun. utzoo!isis showed me the place last trip up there, had a great time. Bars close at 1 AM, soft drinks served after that. The place looked like it was open 'til about 3AM. Our group ran little social experiments with the match books set up like what else, dominoes. Toronto, Ont: Nuts and Bolts - another good new wave/punk place. Haven't been there in a few years so it may no longer be a good place. Like Dominoes it is open 'after hours'. San Fransisco, CA: I-Beam - as the originator mentioned, a good time, no seats, except a little ledge next to the speakers!! Rochester, N.Y.: < > Still looking - the place is a bit of a drag, big yellow box influence if you get what I mean. Anyone know of place, Scorgies is a drag. 'tis a pity, seeing I live here!! Anyone got any good Boston places, sometimes I wander out that way? Dave arpa: Sewhuk.HENR@Xerox.ARPA uucp: {allegra, rochester, amd, sunybcs}!rocksvax!dave
