Yes, if that's life then that SUCKS!!! (that is as strong a word as I go). What's wrong with just liking people for people, or being a friend even if it is at a cost to us. Why don't we think of someone else for a change instead of just conforming to society? karen p.s. I confess that I am overweight, but I do not have a lack of male friends. I have also had boyfriends and been engaged (all while being overweight, if you can believe it).
