I was watching a show that contained some clips from the Movie "Forbidden Planet" and they mentioned that the Planets Real Name was Altair IV. Now Altair was used as a planets name in some Star Trek episode of which I cannot remember the plot. But there were several episodes that found planets similar to the forbidden one (ie. Ancient civilization destroyed and only their machines remaining). Is it possible that the Altair in Star Trek was supposed to be the Forbidden Planet? John Eaton !hplabs!hp-pcd!john
