All of the following facts are secondhand: The competition runs from 1/1/85 to 12/31/85. Showtime wants an unedited videotape of your amateur production's best performance or dress rehearsal. The videotape must be made from the back of the house with a single camera. All judging will be done by theatrical experts, and will take place after 12/31. Prizes of $1000. per theater will go to the top 5(?). The winning theater will receive $20,000. Showtime will not broadcast any of the winning shows; rather, they are looking for new ideas for shows and new talent. He told me this because we (Bremerton Community Theater) are taping our soon-to-open "To Kill a Mockingbird" and submitting it. I do not know who to get in touch with for confirmation of any of the above, but if there is a serious interest, I will ask my director. -- Mark A. ...uw-beaver!ssc-vax!adolph "We'll cross out that bridge when we come back to it later."
