Rome in particular deserves a week to itself. And moving from place to place takes time and effort. I know--I've done it! How about a more leisurely two weeks in Florence and the surrounding area? Or Venice, the Venetian villas, Padua, Vicenza, Verona, and the Lakes? You don't mention your interests and your budget, so I can't be much more specific. Enjoy your trip! -s
