Write/phone Air Iceland or ask your travel agent for brochures on Iceland. Iceland has a high cost of living because it's an island, though Air Iceland has good prices & fine service. I spent a rainy but fascinating weekend there in June a few years ago: it's hard to believe you're still on Earth when you're there. Find a book of photographs or a film about the place to get a glimpse of how it looks. Maybe read old Norse mythology as well. You won't know the meaning of the word "primordial" until you've seen Iceland!
