I would suggest trying to obtain accomodations in the park, if at all possible. As it does not sound like you are into camping out, I'd try the Yosemite Lodge or the Curry Park tents. The problem with out-of-park accomodations is that there's a 20 mile commute. The Yosemite Curry Co. (they run the lodges) has a reservations number in Fresno.
