Indeed Spain and Italy were my favourites becaused they were not "so damn civilised" as Switzerland, Northern Europe and North America. But I found something interesting in almost every place that I visited because I always took my time to enjoy the places and their people. If you go to Spain visit Toledo, Granada, Seville (sp??) which are not very far from Madrid. When we were in Spain most of the towns and cities were worth about "One and a half days of touristing" (ie seeing museums, monuments etc) but we spent atleast 2-3 days in each city and visited a lot of the non-tourist part of the towns, eating/drinking in restaurants and bars visitied by the locals. We also had the opportunity to walk into a local community festival in Seville and a wedding in another town (the name escapes me). If you are in Seville pass through the old cigarette factory in the center of the town which has been converted to a university. I had beer (dirt cheap) and lunch with the local students (by the way this factory is the one in the opera Carmen ). We had fabulous time in Spain. If you are in europe, and have the time, visit Paris. It is my city for many many reasons. -- sanjay UUCP: ...!{ utzoo,decvax,ihnp4,allegra}!watmath!srradia ARPA: srradia%watmath%waterloo.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa CSNET: srradia%watmath@waterloo.CSNET -- sanjay UUCP: ...!{ utzoo,decvax,ihnp4,allegra}!watmath!srradia ARPA: srradia%watmath%waterloo.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa CSNET: srradia%watmath@waterloo.CSNET
