     In response to the query about intelligent Ethernet controllers for non-
DEC systems; CMC offers boards for Unibus, Multibus, VMEbus, VERSAbus,
and Q-bus.  Prices range from $3K to $4K, and drop rapidly with quantity.
The IP/TCP software is $400.  Excelan has a set of similar offerings.
     CMC claims 1MB/sec FTP performance using their boards.  This is much
higher than 4.2BSD on VAXen achieves, even with the trailer kludge.
