Although I'm pleasantly surprised by the Dos, having been spoiled by UNIX, I find myself constantly wanting some of it's shell features and various programs. Things that immediately come to mind are aliasing, shell variables, and being able to use a '/' instead of a '\' for path names. (I know that in 2.1 you could use either, but in 3.0 they only allow '\' *ARGH!!!* ) I would greatly appreciate anyone who has UNIX-like stuff for the PC that is in the public domain, if they could mail me a copy. Also pointers to availability of commercial packages would be appreciated. Thanks in advance ......
