Where I come from, it's normal to greet (not as an intimate friend, but in a friendly manner) people you pass on the street, but I've gotten looks like I was crazy or up to no good when I've done it up here. I can only feel sad for those who have grown so cold and suspicious, while I work my way back home (where it is considered rude not to greet others). Nemo
