If you're going to a christening, wedding, or funeral, you don't want the guy to turn up in an old T-shirt and bedraggled jeans. Similarly, you wouldn't want somebody to don a tuxedo to come paint your living room. Some men can be devastating in a turtleneck and jacket. It's not the suit-and-tie look, though it is a little more dressed up than cutoffs.
