    Indeed, dbx was a total disgrace as received in the 4.2 distribution
    tape! Completely unusable. I couldn't agree more with this flame.

    Fortunately, in June, Mark Linton (ucbvax!linton) distributed some
    excellent fixes that cured many, but not all, of dbx's problems.
    At least it's now usable.
    
    Perhaps more work on dbx has been done since then.
