Does anyone know anything about what questions were asked in that poll? The Jan 14 issue of Newsweek cites their own poll indicating that 58% support a ban on abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or threat to the mother's life (and, I think, severe birth defects). This is an increase of 8% from last year. I expect that if the poll question were stated with the above qualifications, the actual percentage of people who support some kind of ban on abortion would be higher since those in favor of a stricter ban may have answered "no" to the question. -- Paul Dubuc cbscc!pmd
