        Does anyone out there have a list of "translations" from "formal 
names" to "nicknames"? What I'm looking for is something that will tell me: 

		David <-> Dave
		John <-> Jack
		Elizabeth <-> Beth <-> Liz
		Robert <-> Rob <-> Bob <-> Bobby <-> ....

and so on. It doesn't have to be real complete, even the hundred or so (?) 
most common names would do. Mostly, I need to write a program which has the 
user type in his first name and then checks it, and I want to permit 
Elizabeths to use "Beth" if that's what they like to be called. Either a 
list of these relationships or a program to generate them would be most 
welcome.
