I called about a week and a half ago, and still no catalog. California *is* still in the same continent, isn't it? I recently found that the regular price of CD's (at least the Pop/Rock CD's) is $11.99 at the Wherehouse, a local(?) chain. I understand the regular price at CD Centre is $12.99, and you get a buck off if you order 10 or more. Doesn't make much sense to mail order with the prices like that. Hopefully if enough chains around the country start pricing CDs competetively, the mail order prices will come down. Which may bring the local prices down some more. I didn't look at the prices of the Classical discs, as the Wherehouse I went to (South Coast Plaza) has all their classical stuff, including CDs in a vault. -- roger long pertec computer corp {ucbvax!unisoft | scgvaxd | trwrb | felix}!pertec!bytebug
