Yamaha makes a cheap headphone amp primarily designed for use
with their home studio mixer/sync deck/etc. You probably won't
find it in an audio store, so try a local music shop that 
deals in Yamaha keyboard and mixer equipment. This little beast
runs on 9 Volt or adapter and is about the size of a Walkman.
Cost is ~$80-90.00
