The power in Japan is either 50Hz or 60Hz depending on location, so you should be able to find a 60Hz model with no problem. HOWEVER, the VOLTAGE in Japan is 101 volts, so it is likely to FRY if you plug it into standard U.S. of A 120 volt outlets, without a special transformer.
