These speakers are to be used for a portable dance/disco system in the 160 Watts RMS per channel category. I had been considering Klipsch LaScalas previously, but they seem to be the "Cadillac" version at $1500 for the pair. Both of the speakers I am currently considering are in the ~$950 per pair range. The first is the Pevey (sp?) Project Five sound reinforcement speaker. They seem well suited for the aplication (heavy duty construction, good components, etc.) but have a limited frequency response (60hz-16Khz). Also, they are not horn-loaded. The other is a speaker from TOA (anybody ever heard of these guys?). They seem to be the same heavy duty construction, have an extended frequency range (30hz-20Khz), and are in the same price range. Please share any knowledge of the two manufacturers and their reputations (especially TOA- I'm fairly familiar with Pevey). Also, any specific feedback on these speakers? Thanks in advance for your halp. Sincerely, Harold Noyes !hplabs!hp-pcd!harold
