On 2/12/85 I went to a dBX speaker demo at Lincoln Labs on Hanscom AFB.
It was given under the auspices of some IEEE group, the reflector, I think.
The demo was accompanied by a short, very acessible, interesting lecture
by the SoundField One designer, Mark <something-or-other>.

While I was there I overheard that they've sold 300 speakers so far.
Also, they are going to try to have a product, with similiar technology,
that will sell in the $1500 range.  They don't know if this will be
possible.  NOTE: All this was overheard so it is firmly just rumor.
