Brake shoes, tires, and other life-limited parts have been replace as needed. I count the brushes as a real repair as it was done on the road in Idaho. No one I know with an american car can claim anything near as good. Five of six toyota owners known to me are very happy with their cars. To me the question is reversed: why buy an american car?
